The Taffy Sisters
Does your life feel like pulled taffy? One day it’s so thin you’re afraid it’s going to break, while on another day, things are so sticky it feels like you’ll never work it through…
You are invited to join Lesley Klenk and Kristin Gomez in a new Bible study especially for those navigating issues surrounding kids in high school and/or college as well as coping with the many challenges of aging parents. We meet on the 3rd Sunday of every month from 6:30pm to 8pm in the Fireside Room. Young Adult Ministry
The young adult group (post-high school through 30ish) will plan to meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. We will have relevant conversations about life and God, and of course, eat good food!

WIFI (Women In young Families Interconnected)
A morning Bible Study for women and moms with young children or those women who identify with this stage of life. We will plan to meet every first and third Thursday of the month beginning May 3rd from 9:30-10:30am in the high school room. There will be childcare provided for those who need it in the Godly Play room next door.

Grief Support Group
Please consider joining with others who are wrestling with emotions surrounding the loss of a loved one. We gather with Pastor Doug on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at noon in the Choir Room here at Gloria Dei. Charity Quilters
The Charity Quilters meet on the first 3 Tuesdays of the month in Luther Hall for the purpose of making quilts for charity. In one year’s time, nearly 600 quilts will be made entirely from donated materials. The bulk of these quilts will be sent to Lutheran World Relief with a smaller percentage distributed locally. This group also makes a quilt for each of our graduating seniors! Come on along and have a stitching-good time! Contact the church office for more information.
Friendly Stitchers
The Friendly Stitchers meet Tuesday mornings at 10am in the Fireside Room. This group meets to hand-quilt patchwork or applique quilts, as there are many quilt owners who have neither the time nor the patience to hand-quilt their family heirlooms. The Friendly Stitchers do all the fancy stitching needed to finish these quilts. Monies received from this service help support Gloria Dei’s many ministries. Bring your needle and thimble, enjoy the fellowship and learn something new.
Jubilee Club
The Jubilee Club is a fellowship organization for the “over 50″ members of the congregation. They meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 12:30pm in Luther Hall. Many entertainment forums are offered as well as informational presentations of interest to the group. The programs follow a luncheon that is usually potluck. In addition, a variety of field trips are offered throughout the year.
Church Library
Our church library, located in the Fireside Room, has many books – inspiration, devotional, Biblical resources, various editions of the Bible, classical fiction, Christian fiction and novels, books for children, seasonal books for the church year, among many others. Books may be kept for one month. Just fill out a card in the library and leave it in the box. Feel free to come in and browse.
Stephen Ministers
The Stephen Ministers of Gloria Dei are lay members of the congregation who are trained to help individuals deal with life’s stresses such as depression, grief, loneliness, the loss of a job, etc. These caring individuals meet one on one with individuals to listen and help people sort through their problems. Confidentiality is maintained. For more information or a referral, contact one of our pastors.
Rebecca Women’s Fellowship
The Rebecca Women’s Fellowship meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month for Bible study, prayer and fellowship. Join the ladies of Gloria Dei as they examine and discuss God’s Word in a welcoming environment. Contact the church office for more information.
Hope Ship
The Gloria Dei Hope Ship meets four times a year for lunch at a local restaurant. This is a good way to get to know eachother and the group invites all to come for a meal and fellowship.
Faithful Readers
If you enjoy reading and discussing from a faith perspective a mixture of literature, both old and new, come join us. The Faithful Readers meet once a month, September through May here in the Conference Room. Contact the church office for more information.
Dinner Groups
Each month, small groups of 7-8 individuals gather together to share a meal and get to know eachother better. Group members take turns hosting a meal in their homes or another location. Dinner Groups are open to everyone whether you are married or single, young or old, a gourmet cook or a take-out wiz! New groups are formed each year. Look for announcements in the bulletin or Intercom or contact the church office.
