On Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, we use the ashes from last year’s palm branches to remember that we are human — that we make mistakes. We also remember that God loves us no matter what. God’s love is stronger than any mistakes we might make. It is a love that won’t stop — even when our own life here on earth does.
Four Ash Wednesday opportunities February 17:
1. Open Sanctuary with imposition of Ashes
The sanctuary will be open for people to pray, receive the imposition of ashes and have time in this sacred space on this sacred day. Pastors Doug and/or Molly will be at the altar for this hour.
2. Drive-Thru Imposition of Ashes
Pastors Doug and Molly will be outside from 5:00 – 6:00pm on Ash Wednesday and safely distribute ashes (masked and using a Q-tip to apply the ashes) and offer a prayer as you drive-through the parking lot in front of the gathering space.
3. Ash Wednesday Zoom for Children, 6:30pm—7:00pm (Contact Beth Tobin for Link)
