Knotty Quilters News!
Fall is upon us, and that means exciting quilting news. First we will be raffling two quilts on October 15, 22, and 29. Tickets are $2 each, and three tickets for $5. Quilts will keep you so warm during the coming months! The money we raise goes toward the cost of shipping the quilts we assembled to Lutheran World Relief.
A quilt blessing will take place on October 29, during the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. worship services. Quilts will then be packed and taken to Seattle, on November 3 and 4. From there they are shipped to the east coast, and then around the world.
Along with the quilts we will be sending, baby care, personal care and sewing kits all assembled by the Knotty quilters. We have been busy!
We are always looking for new members. You don’t need to be a member of Gloria Dei or know how to quilt, just have a giving heart. We meet every Tuesday at 9:00 a.m., and have lots of fun doing God’s work! Oh, and there are always snacks!
