Season of Creation

This fall at Gloria Dei, we joined Christians around the world in celebrating the Season of Creation—a time to give thanks for God’s good earth and to renew our call to care for it.

We explored how God’s love is revealed to us in the oceans, cosmos, earth, and animals, listening for how each reveals something of the Creator’s heart. Together we were reminded that creation is not simply the backdrop to our faith story—it’s a gift from God that we are tasked to steward.

Our season concluded with the blessing our pets on St. Francis Sunday to reflecting on how the Spirit moves through all living things. This season invited us to see the world with fresh eyes and renewed gratitude.

As the Season of Creation concludes, may we continue to live as people of resurrection hope—tending the earth, cherishing our neighbors (human and non-human alike), and joining creation’s song of praise to the God who makes all things new.

If you missed it, here are a few of the sermons from this season.
