Summer Reading -Children’s Ministry

A rainbow is a sign of God’s promise to love and care for us and the whole Earth.
God’s love is for everyone everywhere!

Read the story of the very first rainbow in Genesis 6-9, or in the Spark Story Bible (SSB) on p. 20. “God painted a rainbow of brilliant red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet across the sky and promised, ‘Never again will water flood the earth. Whenever you see the rainbow in the clouds, I will see it too, and I will remember.’” (SSB p. 24)

I wonder what God thinks about when God sees a rainbow?
I wonder if there is a rainbow somewhere on Earth all the time?
I wonder if there are ever more rainbows than one at a time?
I wonder what a rainbow looks like from space?
I wonder what you think about when you see a rainbow?

Look for rainbows and have so much fun reading through the rainbow of God’s love!

Here’s how it works.
1) Read a Bible story. Choose one story from each color, or read them all! So colorful!
2) Talk about the story with your family. Use the Rainbow Response Options to help you.
3) Pray
4) As you complete a story, color that story’s color in your rainbow!

Celebrate at the Rainbow Party!

Sunday, August 25, 10:00 a.m. It’s going to be so fun!!

Read from any Bible you would like! Spark Story Bibles are available in the Bible Lending Library in the Gathering Space if you would like to borrow one.
